Chuggers heat up

Coors Light continues to be the toast of co-ed softball.

The Chuggers are one of only two teams with eight wins and one loss in the Cayman Islands Little League Association’s 2013 Winter Adult Co-Ed Softball League.

Behind veterans like Neil Clements and Wil Pineau, Coors Light sit atop the B division at 8-1-1. The Chuggers faced the Walkers Warriors on Thursday and are ahead of the 7-2-1 Maples Sluggers, 6-4 Deloitte, 5-5 Rackam’s Crabbies, 4-6 BritCay Premiums, 2-7 Hitmen, 2-7 Master Batters and 2-8 Walkers.

The Chuggers look to be a win away from the regular season crown. Coors Light play their season finale next Wednesday, 10 April, against the Hitmen at 8.15pm on field three of the Field of Dreams facility.

The league’s other top team is PwC B, who are 8-1 atop division three behind stars like Scott Murray and Robert Harris. PwC played the Harbour House Whalers on Wednesday and wrap up their regular season campaign next Thursday, 11 April, at 8.15pm on field three. PWC B is being chased by 5-4 Dart, 5-4 UBS Swingers, 4-6 Harbour House, 2-7 KPMG B and 2-8 Subway.

Rhino Rebar, 7-2-1, top the A division while the Digicel Dynamos, 5-2, lead the D league.
