A suspect is in custody after a man reported being robbed at gunpoint Saturday afternoon in Prospect, police said.
Police responded shortly after 3pm to the Marina Drive and Shamrock Road area after a young man told authorities he had been held up by someone who displayed an object believed to be a firearm.
No shots were fired and no one was reported injured, according to a news release issued by the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service.
The suspect fled the scene in a car and later arrested by police and the vehicle seized, authorities said.
