Take a step back in time at the National Museum on Thursday, 25 April, when “Looky Ya” returns to the museum courtyard.
Between 10am and 2pm, local artisans will showcase some traditional Caymanian arts and crafts and some of the islands’ best home cooks will be preparing a feast of traditional food.
This edition of “Looky Ya” features the people, crafts and foods of East End, so the public will have the chance to meet some of the district’s thatch weavers, and net and rope makers and talk to them about these traditional occupations, before they disappear altogether.
East End Primary students will be at the Museum at 1.15pm for a musical performance, following The Garden Club of Grand Cayman’s unveiling of new plants and signage in the Museum’s garden at 1pm. The event is free and open to all.
