Three pieces of art on display at AL Thompson’s in George Town will be auctioned to raise money for the George Town Primary Performing Arts Centre.
The New Self-Help Community Foundation is organising the auction. Potential buyers can bid on the paintings by local artists Luelan Bodden and Al Ebanks between now and the close of bidding on 21 June.
The New Self-Help Community Foundation is a non-profit organisation that aims to help teenaged youth develop a sense of self-worth.
“The Foundation is elated to partner with these two outstanding native sons, whose works are captivating and inspiring to young and old. Al Ebanks’s ‘Sumting Fishy’ is an intriguing illustration of Cayman’s marine environment. Luelan Bodden’s ‘Faces’ depicts Cayman’s eclectic mix of nations and emotions and ‘Sting’ is an abstract view of the possibilities of nature’s encounters,” said the New Self-Help Community Foundation’s CEO JC Connor.

Proceeds of the auction will go towards the George Town Primary School’s Performing Arts Centre.
