Braccanal event fosters community spirit in the Brac

A special shindig that’s set up to foster community spirit and reignite the renowned Cayman Brac essence is behind Braccanal 2013. 

We’ve learned that the festivities start this year on Friday, 17 May, at Coral Isle Club with a jump-off party for adults. 

Admission is free and music provided by DJ Pabie and DJ Craig – two of Cayman Brac’s local talented discspinners. The party starts at 9pm and finishes at 2am. 

The Braccanal Parade will take place on Saturday, 18 May, from 3pm, starting at Spot Bay Turn. There are two section to the parade, a teen float and an adult float. The teen float finishes at Panama Canal and the adult section of the parade finishes at La Esperanza. 

The music for the teen float is provided by C.L.A.S.S Studios, a local teen music studio in Cayman Brac and the music for the adult float is provided by DJ Lin and Scatta Hype. 

There will be an after party for the teens at Brac Reef hosted by C.L.A.S.S Studios and the adult after party will be held at La Esperanza. 

So get over to the Brac for a quality time. 

The committee is made up of Cayman Brac locals Criag Connor, Deanira Brown, Della Dilbert, Elisha Mckeever, Erin Reid, Lavender Bryan, Leanna Anderson, Nickeah Esteban, Samantha Mclaughlin, Sheldon Bodden,Tashara Lewis and Ventisha Connolly.
