There’s a family fun day at the Cayman Turtle Farm: Island Wildlife Encounter on Monday, 20 May.
Residents visiting the Cayman Turtle Farm on Discovery Day will have access to the entire park, including the water slide plus the touch tank and wading pool where guests can get in and hold yearling turtles.
Residents may also join park tours, swim with turtles and other marine life in the saltwater turtle lagoon, hand feed exotic birds in the Caribbean free-flight aviary and catch the feeding shows at Predator Reef and Smiley’s Saltwater Lagoon, where the farm’s 9-foot crocodile hangs out, yo.
All day long during Discovery Day, there will be lots of food and beverage specials, including cotton candy and snow cones. There is also music at Breakers Lagoon by a special guest DJ. Who probably isn’t the croc, but you never know.
Two annual resident passes, which allow unlimited admission to the Cayman Turtle Farm for 12 months, are also available to be won for guests who fill out an exit survey.
It runs from 8am to 4.30pm. Adult admission is $5, kids ages 5 to 12 $2 apiece and free for toddlers 4 years and younger.
