Last week’s heavy rains meant some of the events due to take place over the weekend had to take a rain check. Weather permitting, however, those events will be held this weekend instead. Same times, same places, just a week later.
The workshop, facilitated by artist John Broad, was due to take place throughout the town centre at Camana Bay. It has, however, been postponed until Saturday, 8 June, and will now take place in the exhibition space next to Bedside Manor. A print of the Mona Lisa will be divided up into tiles and each participant will paint a large version of their tile.
The DMS garage sale to benefit the Cayman Islands Humane Society was also postponed for a week. It will now take place in the parking lot of Kirk Market, from 6 to 9am on Saturday, 8 June. It’s $25 to reserve a space, all of which goes to the Humane Society.
Live on the Paseo
Live on the Paseo didn’t happen last week, but today it’s First Friday of the month, featuring local indie rock band Inverse, followed by some good old classic rock from Red, White and Blues.
The Humane Society will also be on hand, with plenty of adoption information for anyone considering giving a home to a cat or dog. Artists from the Visual Artists Society will also be on hand to discuss their work.
