Cars broken into at graduation

Graduation night was spoiled by thieves for a few people attending Clifton Hunter High School festivities this week.

Three cars were broken into Tuesday night while their owners attended the high school graduation at Agape Church in George Town, Royal Cayman Islands Police said.

RCIPS Chief Inspector Angelique Howell said motorists should be aware. “Try and park where there is adequate lighting and not in areas which are overgrown with bushes. Before you leave your car, you should also ensure that you don’t leave any valuables in view. This is all about reducing the opportunities available to thieves and making your vehicle less vulnerable.”

Ms Howell advises that additional officers were patrolling the area surrounding Agape Church during Thursday night’s John Gray High School graduation.
