Fireworks on Constitution Day

It’s been a while since there was cause for a celebration involving fireworks, but Constitution Day certainly qualifies as a date of national importance.

And to mark the birthday of the Cayman Islands’ Constitution (54 this year) – which is observed on the first Monday of July every year – Camana Bay will be putting on a fireworks display.

So take a blanket and settle down on the grass on the Crescent or make yourselves comfortable at one of the waterfront restaurants in anticipation.

The first rockets will start to light up the night sky at 8pm, so it’s not too late to take the kids along. Spectators can expect around 15 to 20 minutes of skies lit up by increasingly impressive fireworks.

  1. I think this is great, and I am looking forward to it. But I would like to also see a part of this fireworks display take part on the ocean outside the Pedro St James Castle. Maybe not the same night but the next night or the weekend. Remember there are other district residents like East End, North Side and Bodden Town who would love to see this fireworks take place but reaching to West Bay Road may be difficult for most. This is the Birthplace of Democracy. Lets here your comments.
