Hit the jackpot at Blue Jack Night

An evening of casino style games and the chance to hit the jackpot is coming up on Saturday, 13 July. Dress up in your finest frocks and tuxedos, ladies and gentlemen, and head on down to the Arts and Recreation Centre at Camana Bay.

It’s the annual Blue Jack night, starting at 7pm and carrying on through to midnight.

Guests will be greeted with a glass of prosecco on arrival, and hors d’oeuvres, expertly prepared by Ragazzi, will be handed around.

A night of casino-style games awaits, so grab yourself a stack of chips and get stuck in.

As well as the gaming tables, you can bid on a variety of items in a silent auction and there are some superb door prizes to be won as well. Among them is a Cayman Airways flight for two to Miami and a Blackberry Z10 phone, donated by LIME.

Blue Jack night is a fundraiser for the Cayman Islands Committee of the United World College and proceeds from the evening will go directly to them.

UWC Cayman Islands is a charitable organisation that selects outstanding Caymanian students and provides them with full scholarships to attend various UWC campuses worldwide. The Cayman Islands chapter is a volunteer-run organisation, and all fundraising and sponsorship directly funds the selected students.

Over the past 30 years, UWC Cayman Islands has sent more than 60 students to schools teaching the rigorous International Baccalaureate Diploma academic programme. Upon graduation, UWC students often attend highly selective universities worldwide.

Caymanian UWC alumni occupy many important positions both here and abroad and include such notable individuals as Linburgh Martin, Lizzette Yearwood, Tara Rivers, Dorothy Scott and others.

“We urge everyone to attend this fantastic evening and thereby support our efforts to help Caymanian students widen their horizons and further their prospects by becoming part of this worldwide educational force,” Charmaine McGowan, UWC fundraising administrator, said.

Don’t miss your opportunity to hit the jackpot and support Cayman’s future youth.
