Webster revs up

Michael Webster hopes to get car lovers geared up again.

Webster, through his company MJ Entertainment, is one of three organisers planning a car show in about two weeks at Seven Mile Shops, with the prospective date being 28 July. The others are Shelby Carlos of Boknology Inc. and Shane Ebanks of Premium Touch Auto and Marine Detailing.

Webster states it will be the event of the summer for motorsports enthusiasts.

“Look out for Boknology Inc., MJ Entertainment and Premium Touch to do it again,” Webster said. “We’re hoping Cayman’s biggest car show comes up either the end of July or the first week of August. It will be one to remember.”

The trio put together their first meet back in March, titled Cayman’s Grand Autoshowoff. The gathering attracted dozens of rides, like a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and a Ferrari 612 Scaglietti, along with local racers such as Jody Jervis.

A second event took place in May for Cinco De Mayo. Webster said that showcase was memorable.

“Once again, we pulled off a small, old-school classic car show,” he said. “We had some of the girls representing our sponsor Corona taking pictures with the cars, people came out and enjoyed the day at Carlos and Martin’s Tex-Mex Cantina restaurant while enjoying an eye full of awesome classics. Anthony Echenique’s 1957 Chevy Bel Air was the Corona classic car of the day.”
