The Tower Marketing Titans have top billing heading into the local coed softball playoffs.
Tower are the No. 1 overall seed in the 2013 Fall Adult Coed Softball League, put on by the Cayman Islands Little League Association. The Titans, behind veteran players like Ryan Ebanks, finished the 12-week regular season in first place in the A League. KPMG A, the reigning top flight champions, finished a distant second at 8-4 with 7-5 Rhino Rebar placing third as the last A League side with a winning record.
Andy Armstrong and the Al La Kebab Hitmen capped off a stellar late-season surge to finish first in the B League at 8-3-1. PwC B, last season’s C League winners, ended up second at 7-4-1. Master Batters jumped up to third at 5-5-2. In the C ranks, Karl Preuss and the UBS Aces were the regular season winners at 6-5-1. Saxon G-Force climbed up to second at 5-6-1 with Dart placing third at 5-7.
Most of the final standings were not decided until the final round of games this week. KPMG solidified its second seed with a 19-16 triumph over PwC, Al La Kebab had a 17-13 win over Phoenix Hard Hats and UBS clinched top billing with a 10-9 victory over Dart.
The playoffs begin on Monday with a triple-header at the Field of Dreams starting at 6:30 p.m.
