West Bay took visitors down memory lane Monday with several artifacts on display at the new Heritage Village on Birch Tree Hill Road.
Proud of their Christian, turtling and seafaring heritage, West Bayers enjoyed activities and games such as thatch plaiting, conch shell blowing, rope-making and marble playing. There also was a lot of home-cooked food, such as heavy cakes, stew turtle and conch.
Ray Banker and Kayle Ebanks teach others how to twist rope.
