Sealy is pumped up for Combine

Ramon Sealy is one of 24 players from around the Caribbean invited to participate at the inaugural Caribbean Combine.

“It feels great,” said Sealy, goalkeeper for Bodden Town as well as the Cayman Islands national team. “It shows the hard work I’ve put in has paid off and given me an opportunity to impress some scouts and maybe get on an Major League Soccer team, so I’m pretty excited about it.”

The Caribbean Combine was announced last month and was created through a partnership between MLS and the Caribbean Football Union whose member associations were asked to nominate potential attendees and an MLS technical team made the final call on who would be invited. Thirty-two players were nominated, but only 24 accepted.

The Cayman Islands Football Association also nominated Matthew Suberan, but he was not accepted by the MLS technical team.

The Caribbean Combine is slated for Jan. 2-4 in Antigua.
