Coed softball takes a momentary break for the Ash Wednesday holiday.
Week five of the 2014 Winter Adult Coed Softball League started Sunday with a trio of games at the Field of Dreams. After Monday’s doubleheader, the next set of games take place Tuesday when KPMG A faces Rhino Rebar at 6:30 p.m. on field four; and HSBC battles Intertrust on field three at 8:15 p.m. while CNB challenges A.L. Thompson’s Hammers on field four.
KPMG, the reigning top flight champions behind the likes of Andrew Blevins, march into their contest at 3-1 and second place in the A League standings. Rhino Rebar, at 1-3, is tied for last place. HSBC competes in the C League and sits sixth out of eight teams at 1-2, while Intertrust is in the cellar at 0-3. CNB, 1-3, has struggled in the A ranks, while the Hammers, 2-2, are holding their own.
This week’s fixtures resume on Thursday before wrapping up on Friday. Week six starts on March 9.
