Charterland maps out 
their perfect finish

Team Charterland is closing in on a flawless season. 

Heading into the seventh and final week of the Digicel National Men’s League division two regular season, Charterland tops the standings at 6-0. The surveyors next play the Cayman Islands Hoopsters on April 3 at Camana Bay’s Arts and Recreation Center from 6:15 p.m. 

Charterland is coming off a 94-68 win over Juniors, who fell to 3-3. Ovaine Monteith paced the winners with 27 points and five 3-pointers, Will Koutney notched 14 points and 12 rebounds, Jeremy Strickland and Chris Levers each posted 12 points and Nathan Smith added 11 points. Juawon Ebanks scored 22 points for Juniors and Arin Taylor chipped in 19 points. 

Juniors will end their campaign against 5-1 Smoothie King at 7:30 p.m. on April 3. Smoothie King registered a 72-63 victory over the Rock Hole Fire Ants, who sit eighth out of eight teams at 0-6. Andrew Diaz paced the winners with 27 points, and John Paul Azul contributed 22 points off five 3-pointers. Radhames Polanco led Rock Hole with 20 points and 11 rebounds, Michael Lockwood added 14 points, Leroy Stewart scored 13 points and Jason McKenzie contributed 12 points and 14 rebounds. 

Week seven of the competition officially starts on April 1 as NEC Titans face Sol Blazers at 6:15 p.m. before Team Philippines battles Rock Hole.
