A new board of directors has been announced for the Cayman Islands Tourism Association.
The board was elected at the association’s annual general meeting last week at the Marriott beach resort on Seven Mile Beach. Nominations were submitted last month.
Former president Ken Hydes was re-elected in a two-year term and will be joined on the executive committee by vice president Steven Hayes (TTRGroup), secretary Tim Adam (Cayman Turtle Farm), treasurer Nigel Mitten (Majestic Tours), and immediate past president Harry Lalli (Treasure Island).
“The Cayman Islands Tourism Association is uniquely positioned through the hard work of successive boards to be the driving force in the development of our industry,” Mr. Hydes said.
“As the new president, I am looking forward to working with the board of directors and all industry stakeholders to address the challenges that we face and capitalize on the opportunities that exist with a view to building on the success of our industry to date.”
Four of the elected board members with the highest votes will serve a two-year term to ensure continuity and consistency on the board.
The meeting was followed with a Mix ‘n’ Mingle to allow members a networking opportunity to discuss key issues within the industry.
