Little kids, teenagers and adults were busy Saturday covering the driveways and pavements of Camana Bay in chalk. It was all part of the fun of the annual Chalkfest street painting festival.
The artwork may have proved very temporary due to rain that fell on Saturday and Sunday, but it was pretty while it lasted.
The artists used Market Street in Camana Bay as their canvas to vie for prizes which were awarded to the best artist in each age category: primary (5-10 years old), middle school (11-13), high school (14-17) and adult (18+).
This is the 11th year Chalkfest has been held. As well as a chance to create artwork on the ground, young participants were entertained by face painting, a clown, and story time.
