A public high school teacher has pleaded guilty to charges related to assaulting young boys.
Delroy Anthony James, 32, appeared in Grand Court on Friday on a 10 count indictment. He pleaded guilty to three charges, including two counts of indecent assault and one count of possession of an indecent image of a child.
Defense attorney Nicholas Dixey said additional evidence had been submitted and requested an adjournment before pleas were considered for the other charges.
“He understands these [charges] will attract a custodial sentence,” Mr. Dixey said.
“These are serious matters and need to be given serious consideration.”
James is also charged with child cruelty and misuse of the Internet.
Justice Patrick Brooks granted an adjournment until Aug. 1.
