The United States Embassy from Kingston, Jamaica, is hosting a meeting at 5:30 p.m. Friday for all U.S. citizens, persons who receive U.S. Social Security or federal benefits and green card holders.
The meeting will address issues including hurricane preparation requirements, passport applications and renewals, recording the birth of a U.S. citizen child, and other services available to U.S. citizens.
Representatives will also discuss options for migrating to the United States, filing for a family member to migrate and issues facing current green card holders.
A Social Security Administration representative will provide information about federal benefits available to U.S. citizens and other country nationals residing outside of the United States. Guests will also have access to one-on-one consultations throughout the day.
