Cayman Brac’s growing popularity as a wedding and honeymoon destination has been the impetus behind the launch of an event planning company on the island.
Glamour Enterprises, which offers services for all occasions, celebrated its grand opening this month with a ribbon-cutting hosted by proprietors Cecil and Wanda Simmons. Minister of Tourism Moses Kirkconnell, who attended the opening, noted that Cayman Brac continues to make strides as a growing destination market.
“By strategically positioning Cayman Brac’s role in the destination’s wedding marketplace, a targeted approach in attracting small and ‘encore’ weddings will be key to the success of Cayman Brac,” said Mr. Kirkconnell. “I have every faith that the owners will endeavor to put forward all efforts to see this strategy will be successful in the Sister Islands…”
District Commissioner Ernie Scott, who was also at the opening, said the timing is right for Cayman Brac, and “we are ready for more business activity. The District Administration team is committed to working with the Simmons Family to ensure their success.”
