Delta had best touch

The touch rugby season finished with its finals last week and the customary annual end of season dinner will be held at Grand Old House on Friday.

The Corporate Summer Touch Rugby Costume Dinner will see around 200 people attending, many sporting crazy costumes and makeup.

Delta are likely to be the biggest celebrators having beaten Stepping Stones 5-3 in the cup final of the Summer Touch Rugby League 2014.

Delta’s victory is the latest chapter in a three-year story that has taken them from losing the Division 3 final in overtime, to the top of the Cayman touch scene. Captain Jyoti Choi said, “It was the most competitive game of touch I have ever played in, and also the most fun.”

The Plate Final was an exciting encounter, Island Air shot down Alphasoft 7-5. In the Social Division Cup Final, Zolfo Cooper beat GCM 6-1 with a late surge. Appleby conquered Baraud in the Social Division Plate Final with a decisive 7-3 win, whilst Conyers/Krys Global defeated the Maples Mavens 5-1. KPMG2 won a close encounter with Queensgate for the Shield edging them out 3-2.

Aside from all the fun, Delta are likely to be the biggest celebrators having beaten Stepping Stones 5-3 in the cup final of the Summer Touch Rugby League 2014.
