British, Canadian and American private schools will market themselves to Caymanian parents in an event at the Westin resort next month.
It is the first time independent boarding schools from the U.K. have been involved in the annual Caribbean School Fair, which is aimed at parents considering sending their children to schools overseas. Nine British schools will join 37 from the U.S. and Canada in the event at the Westin Grand Cayman on Nov. 16 and 17, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Niall Browne, of BvS Education, which organized for British schools to be involved, said, “British independent schools are renowned as being among the finest in the world for their excellent academic qualifications and their sporting and extra-curricular success. They offer a truly well-rounded education.”
Benedict Dunhill, headmaster of Port Regis School, who will also be attending, added, “We already have a number of Cayman families at the school and we thought that it was time that we helped them to spread the message that British independent schools offer a perfect solution for parents who would like their children to experience the huge possibilities that come with a boarding school education.”
