Off-duty officer involved in motorcycle crash

 An off-duty police officer riding a motorcycle was involved in a collision Tuesday morning in George Town, sustaining non-life-threatening injuries.

The 43-year-old male officer was riding a BMW motorcycle when he was involved in a collision at about 8:30 a.m. with a Pajero Jeep. The accident happened on North Church Street near the intersection with Fort Street while both drivers were traveling towards West Bay.

The officer was taken to Cayman Islands Hospital for treatment and released. The other driver was not hurt.
