Shootout champs crowned

After four weeks of competition, Digicel have been crowned the Baker Tilly Corporate Shootout squash champions.

Digicel had guaranteed their spot in the final the week before with one league match still to play, but the second spot was still up for grabs going into the last night, with KPMG and The Directors the two most likely candidates.

Ultimately, The Directors pushed ahead of KPMG on overall points after some gutsy play against a strong Baker Tilly team, meaning they would face Digicel in the final.

Digicel, who have led the league from week one, had a slight scare in their first match of the final with Dwight Dube of The Directors taking Jody Jervis into a third game sudden death playoff, but Jervis was able to maintain his composure, winning the playoff 3-0.

From then on, it was a fairly comfortable affair for Digicel, with Julian Jervis, Mark Mimnagh and David Hogan all claiming 2-0 victories and an overall win for Digicel, the first of their Corporate League campaigns.
