Primary school aide charged with indecent assault on female students

A 19-year-old man from Bodden Town faces 10 counts of indecent assault on females, all of whom are minors, in connection with his position as a special support aide at a government primary school, according to police.

Police say there are seven alleged victims. The school reported the case to social services who, in turn, referred the matter to the police, according to police spokeswoman Jacqueline Carpenter.

She said in a statement that the man was charged on June 25 and he appeared in court on Tuesday.

He was bailed on the day of his arrest and will appear in court again Aug. 6.
