The Cayman Islands Football Association has organized several courses for the rest of 2015, providing certification opportunities to coaches and administrators.
Courses are offered in partnership with FIFA or CONCACAF and are free of cost to CIFA members. First up is the FIFA Women’s Football Coaching course Sept. 10-14. Then it’s the CONCACAF Grassroots Coaching course Sept. 17-19. The CONCACAF Goalkeeping course is Sept. 24-26, before the CONCACAF “D” License Oct. 1-4. The FIFA Referees Beginners’ Course is from Nov. 7-11. Finally, the FIFA Elite Coaching Course 08 from Nov. 23-27.
The association has also continued support for First Aid and Darkness to Light anti-abuse training, in conjunction with the Cayman Islands Red Cross. CIFA member clubs can access them on a complimentary basis.
“CIFA is committed to ensuring coaches and administrators have opportunities for development,” said first vice president Bruce Blake. “In addition to Grassroots and ‘D’ License coaching courses – which are mandatory – CIFA has secured a number of other courses which offer development opportunities in other areas of the sport.”
