A special paper anniversary

Gemma Critchley and Richard Mold were married a year ago this week on a Cayman beach. Twelve months on, Mr. Mold wants the couple to mark their “paper” anniversary in a special way – by remembering the wedding in the newspaper.

Richard married Gemma, who was born and grew up on Grand Cayman, at a beach wedding in South Sound on Aug. 16.

“We married on the beach near Caribbean Paradise where Gemma first played in the sea,” Richard recalls. “We made our own arch from driftwood which we covered in flowers and a turtle actually nested under the arch the following day.

“After the ceremony we took our friend’s boat across the North South during sunset to a private house near Rum Point where we had dinner under the stars.”

He has a special message for Gemma and all those who attended their wedding: “Big Love to my beautiful bride, our family and amazing friends for this special day last year.”
