Envelopes that appear to have previously contained checks, bank statements and other documents were discovered at the back of the West Bay Post Office following a break-in Wednesday night, according to the Royal Cayman Islands Police.
Three post office boxes were damaged and emptied during the break-in, said police, who responded to a report around 10 a.m. on Thursday. The break-in appeared to have happened the night before, according to RCIPS.
Police said it appeared that an attempt was made to break into two other post office boxes as well.
Police ask anyone with information about the incident to call the West Bay Police Station at 949-3999 or Crime Stoppers at 800-8477 (TIPS).

I wonder if the owner of the p.o boxes know if they had checks in their box at the time, that they should also contact the sender immediately.
