Burn victim passes away

Jessie Perry, the 21-year-old woman who suffered extensive burn injuries in a car crash last week, has died in hospital in Jamaica.
Ms. Perry was flown off island, to the University Hospital of the  West Indies, last Thursday. She had suffered 80 percent burns to her body in the Sept. 14 crash.
The driver of the car, a 32-year-old man who suffered 20 percent to his body in the crash, was arrested over the weekend for dangerous driving. He was released on police bail.
The pair had been traveling along West Bay Road when the car hit the curb at a bend in the road near Public Beach. The car flipped over and the fuel line ruptured, igniting the car, police said at the time.
