Burns victim laid to rest in Jamaica

Jessie Perry, who died following a car accident in Grand Cayman, was laid to rest in front of more than 200 mourners in her home country, Jamaica, last weekend.

Ms. Perry, 21, suffered devastating burn injuries in the crash in West Bay on Sept. 14. She died a week later in hospital in Jamaica.

The domestic worker and mother of a 3-year-old son was buried in St. Catherine’s parish on Oct. 17.

Her aunt Jacqueline Ebanks said the service had gone well, but it had been a mournful occasion.
