The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service confirmed Thursday that officers do not consider the death of a woman found along Seven Mile Beach last weekend suspicious.
Cassandra Hurlston, 38, was found overnight Sunday near Tiki Beach after her family called police late Saturday night expressing concern about her welfare.
According to a police statement released Thursday: “The matter is not being treated as a suspicious death at this time. A full pathology report and toxicology results are expected.”
Police said officers would continue their investigation into the death “on behalf of the coroner.”
