Brothers Justin and Andy Hastings topped the leader board in the Boys 18 Hole White Tees and the Boys 18 Hole Red Tees, respectively, in the fourth round of the Digicel Junior Golf Series on Sunday.

Jenny Purton led the Girls 18 Hole Red Tees.

The fourth of six rounds held at North Sound Golf Course saw 30 young golfers take to the course in tough, blustery conditions. The format of the competition was stroke play as preparation for the Caribbean Amateur Junior Golf Championships this summer.

CIGA Vice President James Walton thanked Digicel for its continued support in promoting competitive golf for juniors on island, in addition to the parents and volunteers who helped the event run smoothly.

“We are seeing incredible growth in demand for golf at all levels,” he said, “and thanks to the efforts of North Sound Golf Club’s Brad DeSchiffert through his after-school clinics, we can only see this demand increasing through 2016.”

The fifth round is scheduled for Feb. 21.
