Home invasion in Bodden Town

Victims tied up and robbed

Three men armed with knives broke into a Bodden Town home early Wednesday, bound two residents inside and stole jewelry and cash, the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service reported.

The break-in was reported just after 1 a.m. Wednesday.

The victims suffered what were described as minor injuries. The victims reported that all three assailants were armed, wore dark clothing and masks.

No arrests were immediately reported.

  1. The authorities continue to leave innocent law abiding citizens defenseless against these criminals. All of this at a time when we are hearing about the need for an increased number of armed police officer’s on the streets.

    Once again we clearly see that the best the police can do in most instances is to respond after the crime has already been committed.

  2. This type of thing will continue to happen because the bad guys all know that the RCIPS will not get there until well after they are gone. It is a known fact the the chances of the RCIPS actually catching someone in the act of committing a crime like this is nearly if not zero.

    24 Hour neighborhood watches by Concerned Citizens or Guardian Angle types are whats needed to patrol the street especially in the eastern and northern districts. It’s time for the power that be along people to start protecting themselves and their property. Right now we are all just sitting ducks waiting to be the next victim worried about what will happen if we are forced to defend ourselves.
