Some electricity customers in West Bay, Bodden Town and George Town lost power for more than an hour Tuesday morning, Caribbean Utilities Company reported.
“The outage was due to a temporary loss of generation,” CUC said. “CUC regrets the inconvenience caused to customers affected by this outage.”
On Feb. 13 a large area of West Bay was affected by a power outage that lasted from four to 10 hours as a result of a suspected drunken driver crashing into a power pole.
Less than three months ago, an island-wide overnight blackout was followed by intermittent power outages in portions of West Bay and George Town over two days as a result of a fault in the transmission and distribution system, according to the utility.
