Color runs

Color runs are gaining popularity and exposure worldwide. Participants are “color bombed” along the route, resulting in a festive atmosphere of powdery color with few escaping and many being doused from head to toe in vibrant hues.

This particular color run will paint the town purple. Beyond the shout out for women, purple is also a color linked to nobility, passion and creativity.

All funds will support empowerment programs for women and youth in the community, so people are encouraged to sign up and participate.

There will be breakfast provided and medals for runners, as well as raffle prizes, including a grand prize of a Cobalt Coast staycation. The person wearing the most purple will also win a special purple prize!

Registration for the event is $20 with a T-shirt for the first 200 participants. For more information on the event, visit
