In the March 30, 1966 edition of the Caymanian Weekly, a precursor of the Cayman Compass, Bodden Town correspondent Haig Bodden wrote:
“On the night of April 10, the United Church at Bodden Town will present an Easter Pageant.
“With an enormous cast of about 30 actors and actresses, the play promises to be one of the greatest ever staged in this district.
“Bodden Town, for decades famous as the Broadway of Grand Cayman, will just be adding another hit by depicting the Easter message in all its glory.
“Driving from Bodden Town to George Town, one notices that the road is cluttered with heavy and slow moving equipment.
“The men in charge of the stone quarry at Spotts must really be commended for the many precautions taken to ensure the safety of all commuters to and from George Town.
“However, the patience and thoughtfulness of all drivers will still be a help to the experts who are working so hard at the airport.”
