The second boatload of Cuban migrants in the past week was spotted Friday in Cayman Brac and were allowed to continue with their journey.
Immigration officers said 18 men and one woman arrived on Cayman Brac around 7 a.m. All of them were packed into a makeshift 25-foot craft.
Local law enforcement authorities intercepted the boaters, who said they wished to continue on in their craft.
Another group of 21 Cuban migrants landed in the Brac on April 24, and were taken into custody. The 12 men and nine women were sent to Grand Cayman where they are in detention awaiting repatriation.
