Police are appealing to the driver of a car involved in an accident in which a pedestrian was knocked down on Shamrock Road, near Ocean Club, to come forward.

The female pedestrian was hit by a car around 7 a.m. Thursday. Two cars were involved in the incident, police said.

The driver of the white Hyundai Accent that struck the woman remained at the scene and made the 911 call that alerted emergency services. In a press release issued Friday morning, police urged the driver of the second car, a dark grey or black Toyota Yaris, to contact them.

The pedestrian was not seriously injured. She was taken to the Cayman Islands Hospital and later released.

Police are requesting the driver of the Yaris or anyone who witnessed the accident to contact the RCIPS Traffic Management Unit at 649-6254.

  1. Driver of the second car , give up your self because you might not think it’s the right thing to do , and face the consequences . Cause you might have 2 eye witnesses against you and you running from the scene of the accident. Give up yourself cause you’re making your case worse . Hope the victim is OK , and can help get the scumbag driver of the road and in prison . People know when they are wrong , that’s why they run and hide .

  2. Sorry but I’m confused.
According to the above article, the driver that HIT the lady stopped and called the police.

How exactly is the other driver involved? Did they both hit her? Hit the other car?
