Supermarkets throughout Cayman are embracing the food cravings of their international residents by stocking up on items for Canada Day and July 4 celebrations, from ingredients for recipes to ready-made dishes.

Kirk’s is calling its long weekend offerings “The Grill Master’s Perfect Weekend.” Included in its specials, to celebrate both Canada Day and the Fourth of July American Independence celebrations, are deals on Certified Angus Beef rib-eye steaks, colossal shrimp and gourmet sausages. For those who want to spend more time enjoying the weekend and less time cooking, Kirk gourmet deli platters are perfect for small or large groups.


Hurley’s is selling a wide variety of fresh produce, gourmet deli selections and fresh bakery items to help you start your weekend celebrations with a bang. Look out for great savings on honeydew melons, red onions, bell peppers and eggplant, among others, all perfect for those summer salads.

Deli items on special include blackened shrimp, sliced pepperoni, Cheddar cheese and an assortment of flat breads.
