  1. Funny and clever cartoon. Obviously, the caricatured prisoners are not Oxitec Friendly mosquitos who, by virtue of being exclusively male lack the even the anatomy to dine on blood, or spread Dengue or Zika. They do have one mission in life, however- to impregnate wild Aedes Aegytpi females (who mate only once- and then deposit eggs after each blood meal on our friends and neighbors). The subsequent offspring larvae are unable to metamorph into adults unless they are raised in a laboratory and bathed in tetracycline through the entire larval stage. Otherwise they enter Mosquito heaven never having sinned against God or man. Isn’t that nice?
