Immigration officials say a boat carrying nine Cuban migrants ran aground on rocks along the west side of the Brac.

The nine men were treated for minor injuries at Faith Hospital and will be transferred to the Immigration Detention Center on Grand Cayman, according to a press release. The Immigration Department release said there are now 74 Cuban migrants in detention in Cayman.

The department recently completed an expansion at the George Town detention center, which can now house up to 100 migrants awaiting repatriation.
