A group of finance professionals recently brought a whole new meaning to moving and shaking (cocktail shakers, that is) at the 100 Women in Hedge Funds Corporate Mixology Competition.
Thirteen teams competed in front of a sold-out crowd of 200 people at KARoo Restaurant in Camana Bay for the coveted title of “Best in Glass” at the inaugural event.
With names like “House of the Rising Sake,” “The Julie Mango,” “Tricky Rickey,” “The Harmonic Tonic,” and “The O-Zone,” the corporate cocktail-slinging got heated indeed but in the end, it was a classic Caesar from Intertrust that took home the title.
The event was organized by the 100 Women in Hedge Funds Philanthropy Committee, in aid of the organization’s 2016 charity beneficiary: Big Brothers Big Sisters.
“The enthusiasm of the teams made for a fantastic evening,” stated Leanne Golding, co-chair of the committee. “Without the support of these corporate teams, the event would not have been the success it was. We were thrilled to be able to sell out and be able to raise funds for and awareness of our 2016 beneficiary, Big Brothers Big Sisters Cayman.”
