Another suspect arrested in connection with Manderson murder

A 24-year-old male was arrested Friday on suspicion of murder in connection with the fatal shooting of Justin Manderson, who was killed Oct. 1 outside club Nectar, but has not been charged for his death.

Police said the suspect was arrested in an early morning raid at an address in Lantern Point, Prospect, along with two women, resulting in the recovery of firearms, ammunition and drugs.

Cocaine, ganja, ammunition and drug utensils were recovered during a search of the address, police said in a press release.

The women, aged 19 and 20, who occupied the apartment, were arrested in connection with the drugs and ammunition.

Two firearms and ammunition were recovered in the suspect’s car, along with a larger quantity of cocaine.

The 24-year-old male has been charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm, ammunition and cocaine with intent to supply. The 19-year-old female has been charged with possession of ganja, drug utensils, ammunition and cocaine. The 20-year-old has been charged with possession of ganja, drug utensils, cocaine and ammunition.

All three will remain in police custody and appear in court Monday morning.
