Sami Peene and Raegan Rutty placed 14th and 16th in the individual all-around competition at the Junior Commonwealth Championships in Namibia on Oct. 11.

Both girls posted personal best scores, each improving their personal best set at the Junior Pan Am Championships in Bolivia three weeks ago by more than 2 full points.

Raegan bettered her own national record on vault with a 12.65, and Sami set a new junior national record on floor and bars and in the all-around. Sami qualified for finals on floor and finished in 8th place on that apparatus final on Oct. 12.

The next major event for these two will be Island Games in Gotland, Sweden, in June 2017. Motions Unlimited will be sending a younger team to the Gasparilla Fall Classic in Florida this month.
