A West Bay man was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday on two charges of “causing intentional harassment, alarm or distress” connected to a shooting incident last week.
As of press time Tuesday afternoon, the man had not appeared in court.
The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service reported that officers responded to a home on Duxies Lane, West Bay just before 11 p.m. on Nov. 9. According to police, there had been a fight at the home during which a man had suffered a cut to his hand.
Police said the same man, age 22, fired a shot into the air in the front of the property.
He was later arrested at the hospital and has remained in police custody since his arrest.
