Anyone familiar with beloved hit musicals will be familiar with the classic “Annie Get Your Gun.” The show features a host of toe-tapping songs and great action, as it is set back in the days of Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show.

The show features a live orchestra from the St. Ignatius Music Department.

“Annie Get Your Gun” will be performed at St. Ignatius Catholic School from Nov. 24-26 and the public is encouraged to come out and enjoy a wonderful production. The show is suitable for all ages.

Cast and crew

The cast members have been working their hearts out to bring this classic musical to life. In a way, it is a production within a production since the story is set within Buffalo Bill’s legendary show. This has challenged the cast to not only develop their acting and vocal skills, but has also given them the chance to learn other production skills since they double as the backstage crew.

The show features a live orchestra from the St. Ignatius Music Department.

With more than 50 students from Years 3 to 13, this cast and crew has a whole range of talents on display. It has been a fantastic opportunity for Sarah MacKinnon-Scott, the new drama teacher at St. Ignatius, to get to know many students across the school.

“I have been consistently impressed [by] the level of dedication and creativity shown by the students and staff. It has been a fantastic introduction to my new role.”
