The eighth annual St. Ignatius Golf Scramble is scheduled for Friday, March 24, at the North Sound Golf Club with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. The four-person scramble can accommodate up to 88 players in 22 teams and is open to the public.

Proceeds from this event will benefit facility development funds at St. Ignatius Church and School.

Those wishing to play in the scramble should submit a registration form and $175 per player ($700 per team). The deadline to register is Monday, March 20, but organizers said in a press release that it is best to register early, as slots are expected to fill up quickly.

The entry fee includes green fee, cart rental, chances to win prizes, and buffet meal and awards presentations after the golf. There will also be competitions for closest to the pin, longest drive, putting champion and best-dressed team. The big prize of the day is US$50,000 if a player scores a hole-in-one at a selected par three.

Forms/payments can also be submitted to Erick, Robert or Jeff at the North Sound Golf Club.

All sponsorships and prize donations should be received by Friday, March 17, the press release states.
