An assault on an employee at John Gray High School was reported to police around 9:30 a.m. on Thursday.
The employee was reportedly hit in the head with an object by a male student. The impact caused minor injuries and the victim was not taken to the hospital.
The boy was arrested on suspicion of assault and taken to the detention center, the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service said.
He was later bailed.
