After an external audit by BSI Group (The British Standards Institution) the Deloitte offices in the Cayman Islands, Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands and Trinidad and Tobago are now certified as ISO 27001 compliant organizations.

The ISO 27001 certification is an international standard defining requirements for information security management of a firm’s and its clients’ confidential information.

This certification applies to the firm’s offices across the region, including its forensic investigation, analytics and cybersecurity lab, as well as its disaster recovery, business continuity and data-hosting center “Deloitte Resilience Center” located at the Citrus Grove Building.

To be certified as ISO 27001 compliant confirms that a company has integrated a strict information security management system in its business processes, and that information security and client confidentiality are part of the cornerstones of the firm’s activities, Deloitte said in a press release.
